--January 2021: Film script completed Outside The Lines

--November 2020: Offered a 2nd Literary Fellowship at Hawthornden Castle in Scotland, to begin 2021

--September 2020: Revisions completed on the epic film musical for Threshold Entertainment:  Taj Mahal.

On assignment, Serra has written ten TV films, numerous episodes, including two years on staff for NBC.  She has sold two original feature films, completed two more on assignment, and optioned two others. She has been hired for production polishes on several films. 

Serra was a recipient of the Hawthornden Literary Fellowship and was invited to spend a month writing in residence in Scotland.  Her first novel was a semi-finalist for the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing Award given by the Faulkner Society in New Orleans, LA. 

Serra’s book 2 BROADS ABROAD: Moms Fly the Coop, a humorous travel memoir written with her sister Nancy Serra Greene, was published in 2015 by Library Tales Publishing in NYC. That book has been adapted into an award winning stage play NO MORE SMALL TALK. Also ready for the stage is NO ONE WE KNOW a controversial family drama and finalist for the Henley Rose Award and the Playwrights First Award, and  ECHOES: Powerful Men & False Reports a One-Act true story political drama, which took Third Place in The Little Theatre of Alexandria national competition for 2019.

Serra has taught writing at the University of California, San Diego, Wofford College, and at writers’ conferences nationwide.
